Dough:
4 cups flour
1 lb. oleo/margarine
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 cup cold water
Mix together. Set in refrigerator overnight.
Divide dough into 5 pieces and roll oblong 14-15 inches long and 4 inches wide.
Filling:
1 lb. almond paste
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
Mix. Will be stiff. Roll filling in hands and lay it on dough. Seal edges with water. Brush top with egg whites. Prick top with fork.
Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.
Makes 5 pieces.
