1 piece beef brisket
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup
liquid smoke
Sauce:
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 bottle catsup
2 TBSP worchestershire sauce
1 tsp. celery seed or salt
1/4 cup water
1 TBSP liquid smoke
1-1/2 tsp. dry mustard
3 TBSP margarine
dash of pepper
Put foil in pan, enough to wrap and cover brisket. Sprinkle liquid smoke and spread over brisket, then sprinkle onion soup mix and spread over. Repeat on other side of brisket. With fat side up, cover with foil. Bake at 200 degrees for 8 hours.
Sauce: Cook all ingredients in sauce pan until well mixed. Pour over sliced brisket and bake 30 minutes more.
